Tait Tierney was a bright light whose kindness, energy, and love for others left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. The creation of Tait’s Flower is a way to honour her life and carry forward her legacy of kindness, inclusion, and community.

She grew up playing field hockey at East Wiltshire and Bluefield High School, later giving back as a coach at East Wiltshire for seven years. Tait played ice hockey with the North River Flames and the Midisle Wildcats, where her dedication, team spirit, and joy for the game shone through.

Beyond sports, Tait worked as an RCW at Beach Grove Home, where her compassion and care touched the lives of residents and their families. Tait was the cherished daughter of Maurice and Lorna, loving sister to Elise (Zach), Madison (Brady), and Paige, and Tait was a proud Auntie to Cruz.

Tait was deeply loved — by her family, her friends, her field hockey players, her coworkers, her residents of Beach Grove and her community. Her sudden passing this summer left a hole in the hearts of many, but her legacy continues in the memories, stories, and love she gave so freely.

Tait’s Flower – $10
Tait’s Flower is a yellow iron-on daisy paired with a keepsake card
that carries a powerful message of belonging, kindness, and community.
Created in memory of Tait Tierney, the flower is a symbol of her bright spirit, her love for the game, and the way she made everyone feel included. Wearing it is a reminder, just like Tait showed us, to support one another, to reach out when life feels heavy, and to lift each other up.
Proceeds going toward Tait’s Bursary at Bluefield High School.
